THIS EXPERIENCE IS FOR YOU IF:

You A Vibe

We welcome all Black folks from across the diaspora to join us with open-mindedness and good energy for connecting with new people and experiences.

You Grown, Grown

We grown and sharing rooms isn’t our thing. Every traveler on this trip gets a single-occupancy room, and unlike other companies, we won’t charge you more for traveling solo.

You Love Black People

We envision a united diaspora. We designed this experience to connect you with cool people, places, and businesses in Ghana.

THINGS TO KNOW

  • Airport

All travelers will arrive at and depart from Kotoka International Airport. Our hotel partners will provide round-trip transportation to all travelers arriving/departing on our designated trip dates.

If you arrive early or depart later than our trip dates, we'll connect you with our trusted drivers, and you will be required to pay for your airport transfers.

  • Visa Required

A tourist visa is required for US, UK, Canada, and European passport holders. Prices vary depending on the embassy and country, but single-entry visas in the US for Ghana are $100.

Visa on arrival is usually temporarily available between December 1 - January 15 each year.

Read more about Ghana’s visa requirements here.

  • Vaccination Required

A yellow fever vaccination is required for all travelers entering Ghana, and it must be obtained at least ten days before the start of the trip date.

The vaccination is widely accessible at most travel clinics. For travelers in the US and Canada, we recommend Passport Health.

  • Money Exchange

Before departing your home airport, try to exchange your currency for Ghana Cedis. If you want to exchange money in Ghana, there is a currency exchange booth at Kotoka Airport, plenty of ATMs, and other shops for exchanging money around town.

Cash is king in Ghana, so you’ll want some on hand for ease while making local purchases.
